Thrift Store Score

Ok, so I never thought I'd be in to going thrifting, but now I think it's become my latest obsession. I went out to a few thrift stores at lunch the other day to look for something for a project I'm working on when lo' and behold I came upon these ruby red beauties:

Score! But what are they? Water glasses? They are definitely hand blown, not molded since there are no seems. And they are made in France. I think they could be made by Luminarc (which could get me off on another tangent altogether - check out their Water Pearl Collection) and from the 1970s? Whatever. They are in my ktichen in 2009!
